Ecocrackenback is conveniently located within Crackenback Valley, nestled amongst the local flora and fauna, these self-contained chalets are the ideal base for you to make the most out of your Snowy Mountains adventure.

These nature based eco sustainable buildings include cross ventilated living spaces, raked ceilings with fans and offer abundant natural light. All chalets enjoy polished concrete heated floors and clean-heat ethanol fireplaces for those snowy winter nights.

Enjoy the rural setting through the large floor to ceiling windows and back deck while taking advantage of the weber BBQ and outdoor dining setting in the summer months.

Only 10 minutes drive from Jindabyne, 20 minutes to Thredbo and 10 minutes to the Ski Tube (winter only) which takes you to Perisher, and then onto Charlotte's Pass via Oversnow transport. The Resorts offer plenty of options for a fun day on the Snow. A heated drying rack in the entry way provides a convenient way to dry your ski gear after a long day on the slopes.

Each self-contained chalet is a perfect fit for families of 4 or 2 couples with the bedding configuration of 1 king bed & 2 singles beds. There are 18 chalets on offer at Ecocrackenback so please check multiple chalets for your chosen dates.

Ecocrackenback chalets offer instantaneous gas hot water, wifi, communal laundry and are fully appointed with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Smeg convection microwave/grill, double hotplates, weber BBQ & TV.
Sustainability practices include: Worm Farm System for grey water management and food waste, rainwater collection, recycling bins provided, taps and showers are water-efficient, walls and ceilings insulated, double glazed windows, solar panels, green spaces on property.

location is very good, heating was really nice. good accommodation for 4 people. kitchen is not well equip.. they only have convention microwave which was very hard took very long time. they didn't have any DVD to watch or board games.

Perfect stay for a young family

This was our first family trip with two toddlers and we knew we needed a space that was open, clean and comfortable. Eco Crackenback delivered, with a great location and easy check in and check out service all the while creating a stay that was a little home away from home.

Location was fabulous. Cabin was super clean and comfortable. There were kangaroos right outside our windows, it was very quiet and had everything we needed. We are thinking of booking again.

Cosy and clean

Well stocked and clean, this place has everything you need . We stayed in June, and the under floor heating and fireplace was perfect . Deer and kangaroos outside your window. Close enough to the slopes and other amenities, but far enough for peace and quiet.

We absolutely loved staying at Eco Crackenback. The accommodation is perfect for self catering holidays with plenty of space to relax, and an excellent location - quiet, but close to all the summer activities. We stayed in no.16 which had a grass area in front where our children could play in view and met other children who were staying on the property. The only negative was that the kitchen was sparsely decked out so basic items like kitchen disinfectant, paper towel and cling wrap were missing. If you're looking to stay for more than a few days and enjoying family meals at home you'll need to supply these essentials.

Peaceful retreat

We spent 3 nights at Ecocrackenback in early January (#16). The property is located in a picturesque spot 10 mins from Jindabyne and 20 mins to Thredbo. We loved watching the kangaroos visit each morning and evening and the kids loved making friends with the resident dog. There was plenty of room for the kids to run around and play ball games. The habitats were adequately equipped for a short stay. Although it seemed like most of the other habitats were occupied, we rarely saw anyone else. We enjoyed dinner one night at Crackenback Farm just across the road and can highly recommend. I would recommend for a short stay while visiting the Crackenback area.

We had a great three night stay at Ecocrackenback! Our cabin had everything we needed and extra amenities like heated floors and towel racks made it the perfect getaway choice. The location is perfect for Jindabyne, Thredbo and Perisher and the grounds themselves are beautiful. Kathleen went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay (who knew Kangaroos could growl?!) and wed love to come back!

Deluxe chalet???

Cleanliness is not good, some dust all over the chalet and toilets are not clean. We dont understand what "Deluxe" means, because we need ustensils like tea pot, lid or lemon-squeeze..and the reception says:"we have not". We are disappointed. We are sorry but we dont recomend it.

Fantastic accommodation close to the snowfields- perfectly appointed with heated floors and drying cupboards. Warm and cozy refuge after a day on the snow! Beautiful location and we got to see lots of kangaroos in the morning and evening!
