Lake Crackenback development is a winner in terms of access to either Perisher or Thredbo, and Kickenback Studio was great for needs.

3 day stay

Wonderful location (ski tube, cafe, restaurant, parks, walks), well equipped with everything you could need, even a baby weber Q. The shower is oddly located (over the spa bath but gets the floor wet) but really, this is a great place.

Luxurious studio

This is a great modern studio. Excellent heating, really nice bathroom and kitchen and also a very comfortable bed and nice little lounge area. Very convenient to snow tube only a 2 min drive. Lovely views as well. Enjoyed our take away from the Larder cafe and the ski rental place was great as well.

Many good qualities, except ....

We agree with all the positive comments in other reviews. Not really mentioned were the distant wild deer and the very tame kangaroos that are a five minute walk away. The minor negatives are that there are almost zero basic supplies (eg, no tissues, salt, pepper), and that the gas fire has an almost invisible tiny flame, which doesn't provide the "atmosphere" that was one of our reasons for choosing this property.

This was our first visit to Crackenback. The studio was in the perfect location right next to some of the best walking tracks down to Threadbo River. Such a peaceful and quiet are as well. We will definitely be back soon.

We had two nights here and it was perfect getaway. Small but cosy. All amenities, beautiful spa bath and heated bathroom floor. Trails cafe and plenty of things to entertain the kids. What more could you ask for! Ps this review for 2021 not 2020 but not able to add the year!

Ski break

Very clean, well equipped kitchen as due to COVID we brought our own food. Heating was excellent with floor heating, AC & gas fire. Ski gear drying facilities were also excellent. Make sure you bring your own Aldi coffee machine pods.

We just stayed there this week and it was perfectly suited to our needs with all the amenities. The location is awesome with a picturesque view full of natural beauty. The only thing which could be better is the BBQ facilities.

Fantastic, comfortable studio, with everything you need for a great stay. Lovely, luxurious bathroom and wonderful heated floors throughout the apartment. Buy Aldi coffee pods before your stay as there isn't a store locally!!!

Following a ride to the mountains in 'The Great Escape' style, away from the scorching heat of the capital, we sought and found refuge in the beautiful, spotless property. A highly recommended location (we had deer grazing outside our windows) and a warm, welcoming, carefully maintained property.
