Ecocrackenback is conveniently located within Crackenback Valley, nestled amongst the local flora and fauna, these self-contained chalets are the ideal base for you to make the most out of your Snowy Mountains adventure.

These nature based eco sustainable buildings include cross ventilated living spaces, raked ceilings with fans and offer abundant natural light. All chalets enjoy polished concrete heated floors and clean-heat ethanol fireplaces for those snowy winter nights.

Enjoy the rural setting through the large floor to ceiling windows and back deck while taking advantage of the weber BBQ and outdoor dining setting in the summer months.

Only 10 minutes drive from Jindabyne, 20 minutes to Thredbo and 10 minutes to the Ski Tube (winter only) which takes you to Perisher, and then onto Charlotte's Pass via Oversnow transport. The Resorts offer plenty of options for a fun day on the Snow. A heated drying rack in the entry way provides a convenient way to dry your ski gear after a long day on the slopes.

Each self-contained chalet is a perfect fit for families of 4 or 2 couples with the bedding configuration of 1 king bed & 2 singles beds. There are 18 chalets on offer at Ecocrackenback so please check multiple chalets for your chosen dates.

Ecocrackenback chalets offer instantaneous gas hot water, wifi, communal laundry and are fully appointed with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Smeg convection microwave/grill, double hotplates, weber BBQ & TV.
Sustainability practices include: Worm Farm System for grey water management and food waste, rainwater collection, recycling bins provided, taps and showers are water-efficient, walls and ceilings insulated, double glazed windows, solar panels, green spaces on property.

Very Peaceful

Quiet and well maintained

The park was well situated between Jindabyne and Thredbo Village, and only 30 minutes from Perisher. The habitat was well maintained and very sizeable for a family of 4. Would recommend summer or winter.

Really comfortable self-contained accommodation for a family - cozy, warm, had everything needed for our stay. Magnificent nature surroundings, close drive to Bullocks Flat for skiing. Will stay again.

Comfortable Stay

This is our 3rd stay at Ecocrackenback. The accommodation has been pretty well maintained overall. Convenient location between Jindabyne & Perisher SkiTube and the excellent Wildbrumby Distillery only a 7min walk away.

Great location

This was a great location for skiing, 10 mins to ski tube yet an easy 15 mins drive back to Jindabyne. Lovely setting amongst the trees. Very warm and cosy. No wifi but our phones with Telstra and Optus were fine. Able to zoom into a meeting while there. Not cheap but comparable with similar accomodation.

Well equiped ecco cabins

Great place for a ski long weekend with the family. The cabin are modern and very well equiped . Ideally situated close to both Perisher and Thredbo. 2 things to improve though: the heater was too high and blocked (too hot!) and the cleanliness can be improved ( very dirty windows and old cup cakes under the sofa...despite a good overall cleanliness: bedroom, bathroom and kitchen)

Luxury and simplicity

We had the most amazing stay with our two boys aged 7 and 9. The habitats were cosy and beautifully simple in terms of layout. The heated flooring added a real sense of luxury especially after a long day on the slopes! And the fire was a perfect addition to give the place a modern alpine vibe. Highly recommend popping over the road for a butterscotch schnapps at the distillery. We loved every moment and will definately be back!

We were withing walking distance of two restaurants/cafes but still felt miles away from everything. The Habitat was spotless and the booking system worked really well. Would def come again but bring my bike next time!

Quiet Summer Getaway

We had 4 nights here and really enjoyed the location and the peacefulness. Easy drive to Jindabyne for shopping and nice and close to local places to eat eg Crackenback Farm. The kitchenette is well equipped for simple meals - we barbecued in each night. Comfy bed and lounge area. The silence is just magic. Would have been easy to stay here longer.
