Ecocrackenback is conveniently located within Crackenback Valley, nestled amongst the local flora and fauna, these self-contained chalets are the ideal base for you to make the most out of your Snowy Mountains adventure.

These nature based eco sustainable buildings include cross ventilated living spaces, raked ceilings with fans and offer abundant natural light. All chalets enjoy polished concrete heated floors and Ecocrackenback 8 has reverse cycle Air-conditioning for heating and cooling.

Enjoy the rural setting through the large floor to ceiling windows and back deck while taking advantage of the weber BBQ and outdoor dining setting in the summer months.

Only 10 minutes drive from Jindabyne, 20 minutes to Thredbo and 10 minutes to the Ski Tube (winter only) which takes you to Perisher, and then onto Charlotte's Pass via Oversnow transport. The Resorts offer plenty of options for a fun day on the Snow. A heated drying rack in the entry way provides a convenient way to dry your ski gear after a long day on the slopes.

Each self-contained chalet is a perfect fit for families of 4 or 2 couples with the bedding configuration of 1 king bed and 2 single beds. Ecocrackenback 8 is Wheelchair accessible.There are 18 chalets on offer at Ecocrackenback so please check multiple chalets for your chosen dates.

Ecocrackenback chalets offer instantaneous gas hot water, wifi, communal laundry and are fully appointed with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Smeg convection microwave/grill, double hotplates, weber BBQ & TV.
Sustainability practices include: Worm Farm System for grey water management and food waste, rainwater collection, recycling bins provided, taps and showers are water-efficient, walls and ceilings insulated, double glazed windows, solar panels, green spaces on property.

Beautiful natural enviroment

Well appointed, comfortable cabin thats in nature. The windows focus on the views and wildlife and the master bedroom window is perfectly positioned to watch the stars while lying in bed. It was a great place for our family getaway

Rude Staff and late check in

The heater wasn't working (or we didn't know how to use it), thee was no support on weekend. We only got a call on Monday, when we checked out on Sunday. Also the check-in was 4PM and checkout was 10AM. this is 6 hour difference. We are paying for 24 hours and 6 hour is along time for cleaning especially when we are paying $700+ per night.

The underfloor heating was on and working during your stay, and the A/C was in working order during your stay also, and we apologize if there was any confusion on how to operate it. Regarding the lack of support over the weekend, we regret any inconvenience caused. Our management team understands the importance of prompt assistance and provide after hours contact details in the proeprty, compendium and emails. We apologize for the delay in returning your call to the booking office. Regarding the check-in and checkout times, we understand your disappointment and would like to clarify that our standard check-in time is 4 PM and checkout time is 10 AM. However, we do offer early check-in whenever possible, as exemplified in your case with a check-in time of 2:30pm. Thank you for visiting us and our local region.

Beautiful stay close to Ski Tube

We really enjoyed our stay at Ecocrackenback. The outlook was beautiful and so much wildlife around. We loved the warm, cosy chalet feel with the wood-panelled walls and underfloor heating.

Beautiful Cabins

Awesome family stay at Crackenback. Well equipped cosy cabins which we looked forward to returning to after each day on the hill. Very quiet and peaceful so we enjoyed watching the wildlife with the kids and exploring the area. Being so close to Wild Brumby also meant a short walk and we could enjoy all they had to offer.

Our booking experience began with superb customer assistance from Jaimee in The Holidays Team, who not only gave me great advice about the unit and local area, but proactively reached out about my son's dustmite allergy when she saw it on the booking form to ensure we'd chosen the right unit for his needs. Never had this happen before and I was SO impressed. The unit itself is stunning with a plethora of amenities that up your stay a notch, from the underfloor heating to the huge windows to kangaroo-watch, to the super comfortable beds. Would absolutely return, again and again. Thanks for making our holiday so enjoyable.

It was so quiet and peaceful with views of slopes. Kangaroos visited each afternoon and morning and lorikeets too. Perfect setting. It was well fitted out, home away from home. Loved the underfloor heating, so cosy and warm.
