Ecocrackenback is conveniently located within Crackenback Valley, nestled amongst the local flora and fauna, these self-contained chalets are the ideal base for you to make the most out of your Snowy Mountains adventure.

These nature based eco sustainable buildings include cross ventilated living spaces, raked ceilings with fans and offer abundant natural light. All chalets enjoy polished concrete heated floors and clean-heat ethanol fireplaces for those snowy winter nights.

Enjoy the rural setting through the large floor to ceiling windows and back deck while taking advantage of the weber BBQ and outdoor dining setting in the summer months.

Only 10 minutes drive from Jindabyne, 20 minutes to Thredbo and 10 minutes to the Ski Tube (winter only) which takes you to Perisher, and then onto Charlotte's Pass via Oversnow transport. The Resorts offer plenty of options for a fun day on the Snow. A heated drying rack in the entry way provides a convenient way to dry your ski gear after a long day on the slopes.

Each self-contained chalet is a perfect fit for families of 4 or 2 couples with the bedding configuration of 1 king bed & 2 singles beds.There are 18 chalets on offer at Ecocrackenback so please check multiple chalets for your chosen dates.

Ecocrackenback chalets offer instantaneous gas hot water, wifi, communal laundry and are fully appointed with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Smeg convection microwave/grill, double hotplates, weber BBQ & TV.
Sustainability practices include: Worm Farm System for grey water management and food waste, rainwater collection, recycling bins provided, taps and showers are water-efficient, walls and ceilings insulated, double glazed windows, solar panels, green spaces on property.

Perfect self contained accomodation

Stayed at the EcoCrackenback chalet for 4 days with a small group. We all loved our time there. The chalet is homely, yet super modern, and had everything we needed. We made use of the bbq, heated floors, comfy lounge room area and fully equipped kitchen. We loved the eco walk and spotted so many different species during our stay. It was just perfect!

Great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ecocrackenback.The location is great with being only 10 minutes from Jindabyne and 20 minutes from Thredbo. With the beautiful bush setting it’s so relaxing and peaceful. The cabins are set out for everything you could need and the beds are super comfy. Communication was great from the company as we had to be moved from the original cabin we had booked but we were informed before we got there. Will definitely be back again for another stay.

Couples Getaway Adventure

We spent 5 nights in late January staying in Ecocrackenback No.9. Very lovely waking up to the bush and the kangaroos and the functional kitchen allowed us to manage breakfast and some dinners at home. The location provided a good balance between Thredbo and Jindabyne. Was great for two couples having an adventure week away.

I would recommend Ecocrackenback 9 to anyone looking for somewhere to relax, chill out or explore the area The house was so cosy and warm, well appointed and welcoming. The setting is wonderful and we'd definitely stay there again!

We’ve just spent a weekend here with young kids and absolutely loved it. Such a great spot, close to activities and great food. Amazingly warm! Huge plus....utensils are stocked. Very well setup. Definitely going to go back.

Toasty warm & close to everything!

We had a gorgeous week here! My two young kids (6 & 8) loved the kangaroos every day. With the fire and underfloor heating, it was so toasty. The cabin was unusually well provided in terms of cutlery and kitchen items, and the kids loved the range of board games. It’s only 10 mins from Jindy, and was an easy trip to Perisher every day. Would 10/10 come back again & will be telling everyone how great it was.

These cabins are very comfortable, private even though there are 18 on site, warm (the underfloor heating was very welcome), and well located for Thredbo and Jindabyne. Will definitely be back.

Great location - easy to get to Jindabyne for restaurants etc and to Thredbo. Nicely done property, good attention to detail. Lovely sitting on the deck watching a kingfisher feed its young.

This place is amazing! Clean, super warm, spacious and well equipped. Location is great and close to ski tube, Thredbo and Perisher. There is only one negative, I wish there was more rooms available so it's easier to book it.
