The property boasts a spacious deck with a BBQ and outdoor table that is fully fenced to ensure the safety and security of your pets. The deck also affords wonderful views over Lake Jindabyne, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with family and friends.

Grey Kangaroo is centrally located and comprises of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious lounge/dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, internal laundry, Wi-Fi (connected to NBN), and off-street parking. The property also has a workroom that is perfect for ski/board storage and tuning during winter or a secure area for bikes, water skis, and kayaks during summer.

The property is equipped with ducted heating and cooling, ensuring a comfortable stay in the Snowy Mountains. Guests can enjoy activities such as walks along the lake, fishing, water sports, and mountain biking throughout summer. Alternatively, it is a mere 30 minutes to the ski resorts of Perisher and Thredbo to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snow-play, and back-country adventures throughout the winter months.

Grey Kangaroo is a fantastic base for either a summer escape or a winter adventure in the Snowy Mountains. The carport clearance is 213cm, so please take note if you're driving a larger vehicle.

Fantastic location

Great accomodation in a perfect location. The space is vintage charm, perfect for our family and pup. So central, we were able to walk to the park and shops and enjoy the bike tracks. Highly recommend

Great lakeside townhouse for summer

Grey Kangaroo was a great place for a summer stay by Lake Jindabyne. There is direct access from the back deck to the garden, bike track and lake for kayaking/swimming/fishing. Many barbecue dinners on the back deck overlooking the lake. It also has plenty of storage for gear. We have stayed in Thredbo many times and never in Jindabyne and this was great for a week in summer. In Spring/Autumn I would still prefer to be in the mountains with a fire place but we will definitely come back here for Summer visits.

Had a fabulous time and was perfect for our stay. Well equipped kitchen and great living space. My only other feedback would be that the kettle has a black build up inside and an unusual taste and we could not use the kettle for tea making. I would suggest a replacement. Would be keen to stay again. Loved the location being close to town centre.

Period Perfection

A stunning example of how good taste stands the test of time. Tons of period details that will delight retro afficiandoes and traditionalists alike. This beautiful home was clean, well-presented, comfortable and pet-friendly. Best of all, it enjoys spectacular lake-front views and is just across the main road from the shops. Grey Kangaroo was the perfect paf for year-long access to the best of what Jindabyne and the surrounds has to offer. Our family of 5 had a ball of a time.

A small group of us - plus dog - stayed at Grey Kangaroo - the view from the deck is fantastic. It is a peaceful, quiet location with easy access to the pathways and around the lake. Also a quick walk into Jindabyne shops and restaurants. A very peaceful relaxing holiday!

Comfortable retro unit

Stayed with for 5 days for a skiing trip. Really nice place, the decor is very retro but nice and comfortable. Everything we needed was in the cupboards, quality pans for cooking, sharp knives etc. The stand-out feature for skiing is the drying room. It's huge and heated by the unit heating. When you get up all your clothes are drya and warm. One of our favorite stays in Jindabyne.

We had a wonderful time at Grey Kangaroo. It was well stocked with everything needed for a good holiday and very clean and tidy. The only negative I would make is that the big lounge wasn't very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again though. The location is fantastic.

The property is a bit dated but was obviously built to a very high standard and has beautiful views out over the lake. All you can see from the deck is foreshore, lake and distant hills. The stairs from the deck lead onto the foreshore park. It is very well equipped and stocked. The only negative was that the sliding door out onto the deck is very difficult to open (the agent advised it is due to be replaced).

The interior is comfortably laid out with lots of storage and modern commodities. The wood paneling and original features make for a cosy setting and the large windows looking out over Lake Jindabyne are just stunning. We are already planning our next trip and imagine we will frequent this cabin.

Loved the facilities, it was well appointed. The nice period details which have been well maintained was very appreciated. Well done. Loved that the kitchen was well stocked with plenty of crockery and utensils. Such a shame we couldn't stay for our full visit due to the bushfires.

Wonderful place to spend with pets and get away from the city. Gorgeous view of the lake and bushwalks that take advantage of it. It's only a 5 minute walk to Woolworths if you want to stock up on ingredients to make use of their well equipped kitchen and BBQ. Thank you for letting us stay. My family had a wonderful stay and are looking forward to coming back again soon.

This property is excellent. The hosts were excellent, always friendly and ready to answer all questions. The location is great, especially the view. Inside was everything and more that you could possibly want. Plenty of space, comfy sofa and beds. Great having that 2nd bathroom and storage room for skiis. Heating was excellent. Highly recommend Grey Kangaroo, can't wait to book it for next year.

We stayed at The Grey Kangaroo for the Australia Day weekend. Our friends could pull their boat up on the beach on the foreshore of the lake to pick us up for a waterski, we could launch the jet ski just around the corner, the house had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable, the views from the deck were stunning. Grey Kangaroo we will be back and you will be our go to place to stay in Jindi.

Our family had a fantastic Ski holiday staying in the Grey Kangaroo for the week, a beautiful location, abundance of restaurants and shops within a short stroll. Very well equipt, comfortable beds and a homely atmosphere. Definitely would re-book for next time we are in Jindabyne.

We stayed as a ski team and found the property excellent. Very warm, great space and next to the lake with good views. The drying/ ski prep room was ideal and we used it every day. Wi-Fi was a must and we never had an issue with the connection. Could walk to everything quickly. Great place to stay!
